A pressure or temperature probe controls a regulator comprising sets of contacts for inputs lower or higher than a demand value. These provide power for servomotors to drive potentiometers in air valve, and fuel supply value, control circuits. The potentiometer outputs pass via a resistor to current converters of which the outputs modify the value from function generators to linearise gas flow signals operate a threshold relay in the air supply servo loops. This reestablishes balance through the regulator. A summing relay receives the outputs from the two gas flow servo circuits to provide a signal representing the combined flow of the two fields. These circuits ensure that optimum air to fuel ratio is maintained over the burner load range.
