Automatically lowered anti dazzle screens for motor vehicle - uses light dependent resistor to detect strong light from driver's vision and actuates motor moving polarising screens ahead of driver
The automatic anti-dazzle system is fitted internally above the windscreen of a motor vehicle and lowers a range of motor driven transparent screen to shield the driver's eyes from glare arising from any strong light source, whether it be reflections of sunlight or light from the headlamps of oncoming vehicles. Polarising screens or 'anti-fog' screens may be lowered in response to the level of illumination falling on an integral diffusing lens facing the front of the vehicle. The screens are raised and lowered by a small electric motor which is activated by a rheostat adjustable control circuit incorporating a light dependent resistor, placed behind the diffusing lens.
