An adaptor for contg. particulate materials within a conventional dry cleaning machine comprises a cylindrical mesh cage which can fit into a supporting chassis having telescopic legs to brace the chassis in the drum of the machine so that the latter can turn. Allows a tumbling action to be used for extracting residual solvent from used cartridge filter packs contg. activated carbon, clay or molecular sieve particles, to increase the solvent extn. efficiency by comparison with use of a static holder.
