The internal combustion engine supercharger turbine of the controlled exhaust type has a bladeless guide device. It includes a control device actuable in corresp. sense to the change pressure to vary the transverse flow section of the guide device accordingly. Enlargement may be accompanied by decrease in the distance radius of the centre of gravity of the transverse flow sections. The guide device may have at least one side wall (14) connected to the adjustment member and movable axially. Alternatively one flow channel of the guide device may be spaced from another in a separating wall by a wall having at least one closure member.
