Dummy for teaching dentistry - has jaw frame to reproduce all functions and uses deformable parallelogram hinge

The dummy is for dental teaching and reproduces physiological movements, saliva and breath. A rubber mask reproduces movement of cheeks and lips and there is a neck moving in all directions. The hinge has a double axis with a piston/cylinder (5) and a stop (9). The piston/cylinder has return springs (3). Four shafts (6,7) form between them a deformable parallelogram when acted on by a side force. The four shafts have a torsion return spring (10). The saliva system is a closed circuit, provided with a filter, with a rheostat controlled electric motor.
