AUTOMATIC DIE HEIGHT ADJUSTING DEVICE IN DIE CLAMPING

摘要

PURPOSE:To automate clamping of dies which sandwich an elastic material, and reduce the time for preparatory plan by setting the extent of die height and the permissible value between male and female dies with main and auxiliary digital switches and setting the sum of both as the bottom dead point of a slide. CONSTITUTION:In case urethane is sandwiched between male and female dies, a main digital switch 7 is set at required sandwinching height, and an auxiliary digital switch 8 is set smaller than the thickness of the urethane. If a slide adjusting button is pushed at the top dead point of the pressing device, a motor 1 runs to lower the slide and drive a disc cam 3, then the pulses proportional to the extent of descending of the slide are inputted to an interface 10, and the height of the slide is displayed in numerical value in a display tube 6. When the output of the counter 11 reaches the sum of the set values of the main and auxiliary digital switches 7, 8 a coincidence signal is outputted from the auxiliary comparator 14, and an auxiliary relay 17 goes ON, then the slide stops. The above enable the under surface of the slide to abut surely upon the male die and the clamping of the male die to be started immediately after the stop of the slide.
