PURPOSE:To prevent the erroneous adjustment of die clamping force by calculating the deviation between the detected value of the die clamping force and the reference value thereof then detecting the foreign matter between dies based on the comparison between the calculated deviation and the preliminarily stored change rate of the die clamping force. CONSTITUTION:A load sensor 24 is provided between a stationary die and tie bar and a die height position sensor 26 to determined the length of the tie bar between the stationary die and ring housing is disposed. A memory 4 in the storage part of the increase value of the die clamping force at the injection, a memory 5 in the sampling and storage part of the increase value, etc. are stored from a memory 1 for updating and storing the die clamping force in each cycle into a storage device 34. The die clamping force is detected by the load sensor 24 and the deviation from the stored value of the memory 1 is determined. The determined deviation value and the reference value for the change of the die clamping force in the memory 2 and the memory 3 are relationally calculated by a CPU3 by which the foreign matter is detected. The erroneous adjustment in the automatic adjusting stage of the die clamping force is thus surely prevented.
