CONSTANT STRESS CREEP TEST APPARATUS EMPLOYING CONSTANT STRAIN TENSION TESTER

PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus detachable easily the sample with a high accuracy by means of a roll clamp equipped with a means of adjusting the clearance of a pair of rolls and a means of giving a constant stress to the sample arranged facing the sample fastening clamp. CONSTITUTION:One end of a sample is fixed with a sample fastening clamp 2 while the other end thereof is done with a pair of roll clamps 4 and 5. On the other hand, fed with a given variables and constants, an arithmetic unit 44 computes and outputs a force to maintain the stress according to changes in the sectional area of the sample 3. A servo-motor 32 controls the rotation of a fixed roll 4 and a mobile roll 5 so that the force detected with a load detector 1 and a strain meter 42 follows the output of the arithmetic unit. The mobile roll 5 is detachable easily the sample between the fixed rolls 4 through the adjustment of the air pressure of an air cylinder 23 while invariably giving a constant clamping. In this manner, an apparatus, which is easily detachable the sample and with a high accuracy, can be obtained.
