PURIFICATION OF HONEY CONTAINING ROYAL JELLY

PURPOSE:To purify the titled honey, by adding royal jelly to honey, stirring the mixture, leaving at rest, removing the floated bubbles and solid film, and again stirring the mixture. CONSTITUTION:2Kg of honey having a specific gravity of 1.423 is heated to make flowable, mixed with 200g of fresh royal jelly, and thoroughly stirred. The mixture is poured into a deep vessel, left at rest for a long period (0.5-2days), and the floated bubbles and solid film are removed. The mixture is then stirred again. If necessary, the treatments are repeated again to obtain the purified honey. Since the solid contents of the royal jelly can be floated and removed by this process taking advantage of the difference in specific gravity, fine particles and bubbles which cannot be removed by the filtration with cloth, etc. can be removed, and the process is superior to the conventional purification process.
