A differential amplifier circuit has a differential input and a single output. It can be used as an operational amplifier and has an amplification stage and a differential input. It is connected in series with the differential input of an inverter stage with a high input impedance. The amplification stage contains cross-connected amplification circuits. The first and second amplification stage contains a first and second cascoded network and impedance networks. The impedance networks produce the low input impedance of the second amplification stage. This amplifier can be used as a class B output amplifier in a telecommunications network, the input being provided by an a.c. or d.c. signal either as a separate terminal or part of a bridge circuit.
