A method for the title compd. of formula (I) comprises (a) treating (II) with a mixt. of inorg. acid chloride (i.e. POCl3, POBr3, SO2Cl2) and (III) in the presence, or not, of inert nonprotonic solvent of (II) i.e. C2H4Cl2, CHCl3 or CCl4 and (b) mixing with weak base (it shows pH 7-9 when dissolved in water by 1F concn. i.e. CH3COONa, NaHCO3, NH4OH or primary amines). In the formula, R=lower alkyl, R1=H or lower alkyl, Ar=opt. substd. phenyl. (I) is useful for antiphlogistic agent.
