Introduction of unpacked explosive slurry into bore-holes - in underground mining, tunnelling etc.

In a method of introducing explosive in unpacked slurry form into bore holes, esp. in underground mining, a loading device having an expulsion piston, a transport hose and an injection pipe is employed. The device consists of a cylindrical pressure vessel having near one end, and pref. on the flat end face, an orifice through which the explosive is inserted into the chamber above the piston. The orifice is closed by a removable cover. The transport hose is connected to a nozzle near the same end. After filling and replacement of the cover, the movement of the piston towards this end expels the slurry through the nozzle, transport hose, injection pipe and into the bore hole.
