Explosive paste for mine works. Paste comprises a liquid solvent, an inorganic O-contng. salt soluble in the solvent, pref. alkaline and alkaline earth metal nitrates, and a combustible substance pref. low mol. wt. glycols, alcohols or amides, as well as 1-6% aluminium powder of grain size approx. 300 mesh, pref. coated with hydrophobic material. The coated Al is esp. Alcoa no. 322. Compsn. is pref. detonated using a no. 8 percussion cap.
