The invention relates to a blowing-in method for introducing solids into steel baths of open-hearth furnaces and is in particular suitable for the dephosphorisation of steel in open-hearth furnaces. The invention consists in that the solid is blown in with at least one conveying jet and that, in addition to this conveying jet thus loaded, fuel gas jets are simultaneously blown into the melt, the exit speed of which is greater, preferably two to ten times greater, than the speed of the conveying jet loaded with solids.
