The invention relates to a blowing process for introducing solids into steel vessels of open-hearth furnaces and is suitable in particular for the dephosphorisation of steel in open-hearth furnaces. The invention comprises blowing in the solid by means of only one conveyor jet and simultaneously blowing in other gas jets at a velocity which is substantially higher than the velocity of the conveying jet feeding the solid.
