The problem in holdups, particularly when hostages are taken, is to trigger a silent alarm as early as possible during the opening of the safe in order to fetch assistance without the hostage taker being able to detect the triggering of the alarm. An alarm triggering which is not detectable by the hostage taker is possible with a varied opening of the lock. For this purpose, the latter has devices and facilities which trigger a silent alarm and protected-goods marking and offender marking with a deviation from a prescribed correct opening process, (i.e. without alarm signalling) which cannot be detected by uninitiated persons. This silent alarm or parafunction can be deliberately triggered by an initiated operator. The alarm is automatically triggered in every case by an uninitiated operator. The procedure is similar when the all-clear is given, for example an electronically operatable lock or latching mechanism is provided which responds to various code facilities, one or some of which codes lead to message or alarm triggering. This arming and disarming capability is expanded by a stereotactically scannable coding/decoding device, utilising the theorem of an infinite number of colours from topology in the case of three spatial dimensions. Since the degree of security increases with the complexity of devices and facilities, on the one hand, several switching elements are combined to form adaptive domino servo networks, also utilising the topological theorem of the infinite number of colours. But since, on the other hand, the difficulty of normal operability also grows with the complexity, special operating aids such as, for example, manipulated-value indicators, are used.
