The valve has inputs providing at least three different water temps. The inputs are brought together such that they are in sequence according to temp. and are able to provide a flow of water from adjacent orifices in an inlet manifold. An output manifold is in contact with the inlet, and has an orifice which is smaller than the combined orifices of the inlets. The outlet manifold is sealed to the inlet, but may slide along the line which joins the centres of the inlet orifices. The linear movement of the outlet manifold is thermostatically controlled such that a higher temp. may be attained by moving towards the hotter supply, and vice versa. The rate of flow is constant, since it is determined by the size of the orifice in the outlet manifold.
