In the energising circuit of a control contactor (6) which switches on and off the electrical heating (2) of a heat store (1) in accordance with a remote-control command or a tariff time switch, there is a switch (14) which is operated by a control cam (12) by means of a motor (11). The relative position of the switch (14) with respect to the control cam (12) is adjusted by means of a temperature sensor (7) and a membrane (9) as a function of the residual amount of heat in the heat store (1), in order to vary the switching-on delay. Using a switch (19), a second control cam (13) connects the motor (11) first to a voltage which is influenced by the remote-control command and then to the mains voltage which is always present. The switching cams (12, 13) then move back into their original position, in less than 24 hours, irrespective of any disconnections by the remote-control command. IMAGE
