The method involves switching on or switching off an electrical heating element (3) of a radiator (1) based on time or temperature. A latent heat accumulator (4) is activated for heat dissipation in a time-independent manner. The activation of the latent heat accumulator is carried out by a manual switch based on room temperature. A housing (2) has top outlet openings for hot air, where the outlet openings are manually controlled to be opened and closed. A control unit (6) is operatively connected to a room thermostat. An independent claim is included for a radiator, particularly for heating of inner space.
