Mounting for skier on single ski - has bindings for two ski boots and uses foot plate on sole plate bolted to ski

The fitting comprises a floor plate (3) on a support (8) attached to a sole plate (9) and is used to support a skier on a single ski (13). The area of the foot plate is sufficient to accommodate two ski-boots side-by-side with a minimum gap of 60mm between them, bindings securing both the backs and the fronts of the boots. The support provides a vertical distance (11) of between 110 and 300 mm between the ski and the floor plate, the sole plate being some 300mm long times the width of the ski. The sole plate may be bolted (10) to the ski, the overhang angle alpha may be of the order of 49 degrees, and pivotable stands (7) attached to the sides of the floor plate may be used to stabilise the assembly whilst the skier is mounting.
