Burner for effluent fluids - has convergent and divergent outlet and multiple flow channels with mixing chambers for combustible fluid

The method is for disposing of effluent liquids such as petroleum residues, or substances rejected from paper mills, or refineries. It uses a burner, in which a suitable liquid fuel is mixed with the effluent liquid. The nozzle of the burner has an axial mixing chamber (3) which discharges at the tip (14), with a central supply channel (1) for the effluent liquid. Around the discharge end of the tube forming this channel is a ring of openings (5a) at the rear of the chamber from which the combustible fluid is sprayed. This rear part (31) of the chamber is conVergent, and is connected to a funnel-shaped discharge zone (33) with a set of discharge openings (6a) facing outwards at an angle matching the slope of the funnel. These form part of an auxiliary discharge and mixing chamber system.
