READ/WRITE TESTING METHOD OF MAGNETIC STRIPE OF BANKBOOK

PURPOSE:To know exactly a fault generating time point by expressing a data recorded in a magnetic stripe, by a character which a man can read, on a journal. CONSTITUTION:A bankbook 9 is set to a write state of a magnetic head 4 on a path 7, and a journal is set to a printable state against a printing part 3. To both of them, a printing data which decodes a magnetic stripe entry data from a control part 12 of a tester 10 is sent through a control part 2, and subsequently, the magnetic stripe entry data is sent in. The tester 10 consists of a data table 11 and the control part 12, bit data patterns A, B, C- to be entered into a magnetic stripe and data patterns A', B', C'- constituted so that a man can read them form the respective pairs, and plural kinds of them are stored in the data table 11, and this pair is made to pass through the read-out control part 12 and the control part 2, the latter is sent to the printing part 3, printed to the journal, and the former is written in the magnetic stripe. In case when a fault is generated, its cause is pursued easily by analyzing a printing data of the journal in that case.
