PURPOSE:An oxygen-adsorption and desorption agent that is prepared by clathrating iron (III)-5,10,15,20-tetra[alpha,alpha,alpha,alpha-(o-pivaramidephenyl)]po rphyrin complex with phospholipid liposome, thus remarkably improving the stability of the above complex to water. CONSTITUTION:Iron (II)-porphyrin complex of the formula (R1 is a group which does not inhibit the coordination of the imidzole connecting to the group to the iron, preferably methyl, ethyl, propyl; R2-R4 are H, at least one is a hydrophobic substituent, preferably R3, R4 are H and R2 is 5-30C alkyl, trityl, substituted trityl, carboxylic alkyl ester) is clathrated with a phospholipid liposome, preferably a mono-layered or multi-layered liposome of phosphotidine zirconium to prepare an oxygen complex which is stable in a water phase or aqueous solvent phase at room temperature. The resultant complex chlathrate can adsorb and desorb oxygen reversely according to the oxygen pressure defference and has scarce toxicity, thus being aplicable to living bodies.
