PURPOSE:To make it possible to simply manufacture water-cooling jackets by forming channel grooves in jacket elements so that the channel grooves are spirally connected together when the jacket element is assembled. CONSTITUTION:Jacket elements 22, 23 are fabricated from plastic materials with channel grooves 24 being formed therein. After the jacket elements 22, 23 are attached to the outer peripheral surface of a barrel body 21, the surfaces where the outer peripheral surface of the barrel body 21 is mated to the inner surfaces of the jacket elements 22, 23 and the surfaces where the jacket elements 22, 23 are mated together, are sealingly jointed with the use of bonding agent. With this arrangement an oil diffusion pump provided with water-cooling jacket is simply produced.
