PURPOSE:To set an NC numerically controlled machine in a restart state automatically by interrupting an NC work processing routine when an operator operates an emergency machine origin resetting switch during the execution of the NC work processing routine, and resetting the machine to a proper, safe automatic machine origin. CONSTITUTION:The numerically controlled machine tool consists of a numeric controller 30a, a console panel 70 for external operation input, a driving device 50a, and a machine tool 60a, and the output of a detecting sensor 20 for a zone wherein machine origin resetting is impossible. This console panel 70 is provided a keyboard 71 for supplying a specific command signal, etc., to the CPU301 of the controller 30a, a paper tape reader 73, a CRT display device 72, and an emergency origin resetting switch 10a. When an operator operates the switch 10a on the console panel 70 during the execution of the NC work processing routine, the NC work processing routine is interrupted to perform resetting to a proper, safe automatic machine origin, setting the machine tool 60a in the restart state automatically.
