摘要

PURPOSE:To recover KOH from filtrate and to obtain magnesium silicate usable as white powder, a deoxidizer and a starting material for ceramics from residue by treating powder of potash ore with a KOH soln. to form potash zeolite and by carrying out filtration. CONSTITUTION:Potash ore contg. Al2O3 and SiO2 such as potash feldspar, potassium liparite or white garnet is crushed and heated at 200 deg.C under 15atm. in a soln. contg. KOH by =0.5mol basing on the amount of the contained SiO2 to form a solid compound which is called potash zeolite represented by a formula K2O.Al2O3.2SiO2.mH2O and a K2O.nSiO2 soln. The solid compound is separated by filtration. Quick lime, slaked lime, MgO or Mg(OH)2 is added to the filtrate, and KOH is regenerated by heating. Since the residue contains calcium silicate or magnesium silicate, it can be utilized as white powder, a dioxidizer or a starting material for ceramics.
