PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of oxygen absorption by passing household miscellaneous water into many stages of shallow boxes contg. microbe holding bodies in series, and bringing the same into contact with air at the water surface in the shallow box and into the contact with air by the internal disturbance in the shallow boxes and the overflowing into the shallow boxes in the lower stages. CONSTITUTION:The waste water removed of extraneous materials with a filter machine 5 for extraneous materials from an inflow pipe 4 flows into a shallow box 11a in the uppermost stage, from which the water passes through an overflow pipe 12 into the shallow box 11b of the 2nd stage; likewise, the water flows through the pipe 12 into the shallow box of the 3rd stage until the water enters the shallow box 11 at the lowermost end by repeating the above-mentioned stage. Microbe holding bodies 14 manufactured of fibers are contained in each shallow box. The water flowing through the pipe 4 into the box 11a flows to the other end in contact with microbes and from the pipe 12 the water shifts into the box 11b at the bottom end until the water transfers into the shallow box in the lowermost stage by repeating the flow to the other end while contacting with microbes in a similar way. Such waste water is discharged from a discharge pipe 15 into a discharge channel 16.
