The vibrator unit is used when laying a concrete or asphalt road surface. It comprises a vibrator foot (1) with a vibrator assembly mounted on the top. This foot is hollow and comprises a bottom plate (7) secured to a top plate (8) which carries the assembly and is in heavier material than the bottom plate. - The bottom plate pref. has an upwardly open U-shape, in the direction of forward movement (9), whilst the top plate has a downwardly open U-shape as seen in transverse direction with its sides secured to the lateral edges of the bottom plate. The top plate may have an opening (10) for the rotating vibrator weight (15) and surrounded by a mounting frame (11) for the drive assembly. FL(2/5)
