Concrete block dyke revetment construction - have grooved recesses in longitudinal sides and nose and recess in transverse ends

The block construction provides a good interlocking yet water permeable revetment. This allows e.g. water from the dyke to return when at a high level. The rectangular block has grooved recesses (3,4) in the opposite longitudinal sides (1,2). At the transverse side edge (5) the block has a nose (6) configuration, and at the opposite transverse side (7) a recess (8). Shape and dimension of the nose is complementary to the opposite recess, so that during revetment construction, adjacent blocks may form solid interlocking units.
