DEVICE FOR THE APPLICATION OF PESTS CONTROLLING AGENTS WHICH CONTAIN AN EARTH METAL PHOSPHIDE OR AN ALKALI EARTH METAL PHOSPHIDE

The device is used for pesticides contg. earth metal and/or alkaline earth metal phosphides (pref. in the form of moulded bodies) for fumigating rooms. The device consists of a solid foil, resistant to mechanical stress, with depressions contg. the pesticides and opt. a substance or mixt. of substances which, when treated with water, decompose traces of phosphide remaining after fumination, PH3 released being oxidised to harmless substances. The depressions are covered with a material which is permeable to atmospheric moisture, and the entire device can be packed gas-tight in a bag for storage and transport. The foil consists of a natural substance (pref. gelatin) which is water-soluble or is decomposed by water. The device does not give rise to pollutant residues a after it has been used.
