DOCUMENT FEEDER SYSTEM HAVING ASUSPENDING/COMMENCING MODEABSTRACTDisclosed herein is a document feeder system, inter-faced with a copier system, comprising, inter alia, asemi-automatic document feeder (SADF), an automaticdocument feeder (ADF) and an associated logic controlsystem that allows the suspending of a prior task beingrun on either of the foregoing document feeders and thecommencing of a subsequent or urgent task on any one ofthe other foregoing document feeders immediately there-after. Thus, when an urgent task operator selects afeeder suspending/ commencing mode button, a singlecontrol panel is instantly made available so that theurgent task copy quantity and feature selections can bemade. After the foregoing is accomplished, the copyingof the prior task original document on the documentviewing glass is completed and ejected into a priorB0977019task exit pocket. Then the chosen urgent task feeder isenabled for feeding, In addition, the prior task status isretained for recall without having to reformat the singlecontrol panel. Accordingly, when the urgent task iscompleted, the urgent task operator de-selects the feedersuspending/commencing mode button thereby causing the copyquantity and feature selections of the prior task to bere-entered into the single control panel and the prior taskto be immediately re-commenced without further operatorintervention.BO9-77-019
