PRE-CAST BUILDING UNIT, BUILDING AND METHOD UTILIZING SAME, AND CASTING FORM THEREFOR

ABSTRACTA casting form for use in casting concrete building walls is dis-closed which features a first substantially flat section in which the bulkof the wall is formed and a second tapered section which forms an integralfooter/foundation. The extent of the flat portion and the angle and depthof the tapered portion are variable in response to the building engineeringrequirements, including the load capability of the soil at a predeterminedbuilding site. When these have been determined, the casting form is adjustedto provide a unitary wall and footer of predetermined dimensions suitable fora specific building. In this way, casting of concrete to form either footeror wall at the building site can be eliminated.
