ABSTRACTThe invention relates to a method for improvedimage reproduction in reproduction technology in whichthe recording is undertaken with a finer resolutionthan the scanning and the finer resolution in therecording is undertaken with a plurality of selectivelydrivable recording beams. It essentially consiststherein that the recording beams are separately drivablefor recording half-tone raster points, in that therecording beams are combined in groups for the refinedline reproduction and are driven by groups or in that therecording beams are individually employed in the refinedline reproduction and in that the control information forthe drive of the individual recording beams is obtainedfrom the coarser scanning information.
