Calcic refractory is made up of compound particles consisting of under 2 wt.% SiO2, 1.5-10 wt.% Al2O3, under 8.5 wt.% MgO, under 0.9 wt.% FeO, and the rest of CaO, and under 10wt.% of a mixture of Al2O3 and MgO. In its manufacturing materials are bended, pressure molded and burnt at a temperature not lower than 1500 degree C. The material has high resistance to slaking, and is useful as a raw material of basic fire brick. It has high strength at high temperature and high stability at high temperature and high resistance to thermal impact.
