New medicaments for promoting callus formation and wound healing contain cyclic adenosine monophosphate (c-AMP). The medicaments are pref. in liq. form as injections or infusions, since oral dosing is ineffective. In addn. to c-AMP, the medicaments advantageously contain amino acids and/or ribonudeic acids and/or kallikrein. Dosage of c-AMP is generally 4-6 (pref.4.2)mg/kg, while dosages of amino acids, ribonudeic acids and kallikrein are generally 100-200mg, 5-10mg and 30-80 kallikrein units (pref. 150mg, 8mg and 50 kallikrein units) per kg, respectively. The medicaments have a significant proliferative effect, resulting in a reduction of about one-third in the time required for healing of fractures and an acceleration of wound healing.
