In the case of a plastics injection mould or compression mould, the object was achieved of providing a universally useable inserting device (10) which takes into account diverse arrangements of mounting holders for insert parts (21) to be encapsulated. In a position moved out from the mould-parting area, an equipping member (11) receives the insert parts (11) in axially clear and radially closed equipping holders (52) of an equipping plate (20). The equipping holders (52) are turned to face at one end with their openings (53) the discharge channel (42) of an insert-part feed magazine (41) and otherwise are adjustable, by means of a drive (29), in relation to the discharge channel (42) and able to be brought into alignment with the latter. In the position of the equipping member (11) moved into the mould-parting area, the openings (53) of the equipping holders (52) align with the mounting holders on the mould side, into which the insert parts (21) can be pushed by means of equipping push-rods (55), by the latter pushing through the equipping holders (52) from their other openings, facing away from the openings (53). A pulse-controlled multiphase stepping motor (29), known per se, acts as a drive by means of an interposed gear (32) to effect the relative displacement between the discharge channel (42) and the equipping plate (20).
