A control device for the fuel feed to a fuel supply device (carburettor, injection system), which delivers a combustible mixture to the cylinder of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, with a fuel distributor which is controlled by a control variable adjusting the fuel distribution as a function of the position of a control element, the adjustment variable being influenced in a reduced fuel feed direction in proportion to the motor vehicle mass before the vehicle attains the speed which is selected by the position of the control element 7 (Fig. 1).
