Vaginal lubricant gel for the treatment of dyspareunia

The product is a vaginal lubricant gel for the treatment of female dyspareunia - coition difficulties as a result of vaginal dryness with a variety of causes (following surgery, irradiation, psychological problems, hormone treatments, inter alia intake of ovulation inhibitors). The product has, as a consequence of its composition, foodstuff properties and is, because preservatives are absent, virtually allergen-free. To date more than 300 patients have been treated with the gel, and no side effects occurred in any patient. Since preservatives are absent, the gel must be packaged and sterilised immediately after its production (under sterile conditions), which sterilisation can take place by heat or gamma irradiation.
