In a method for processing dental cement the latter is mixed on a mixing block and the residual dental cement is removed together with the substrate. In order to prepare a cement having advantageous properties and to permit improved processing of the cement and simple removal of cement residues the mixing block is cooled together with the dental cement to a low mixing temperature.
