The underslung caravan chassis is made of unequal sided angle pieces (1,3). The larger webs (3) form the chassis exteriors and the small ones (4) the inner base. The frame is lengthened fore and aft by two box sections (19), open at the base and including pairs of jacks (14) folded back. The lateral unequal angles are lengthened fore and aft and the larger webs block the ends of the box parts. A hole (16) is provided in the larger web of the lateral angles, giving access to the jack operating square ended rod (23), fixed in the box part.
