After roasting metallic terminations, which make electrical connections between the alternate internal metallic armatures, are deposited on the 2 opposing lateral faces. Two successive armatures are sepd. by a dielectric ceramic layer. First a sensitiser is deposited on the two lateral faces pref. chosen from the salts or organometallic cpds. of Cu, Ni and/or the platinoids. Then onto the sensitiser is deposited a common metal to form the terminations. Pref. sensitiser salt is a chloride pref. Pd chloride and it is deposited in a screen printing ink. Use of non-precious metals for the terminations and metallic layers within the capacitors reduces costs.
