The invention relates to an apparatus for conveying goods to and from storage in at least one bay of columns of shelvings, having a means for extracting and positioning shelf-containers. It comprises, simultaneously, means 20-20A-8-11 and 12 enabling it to travel, by itself, horizontally along the said bay, and means 15 to 19 enabling it to move the said means for extraction and positioning, vertically along the height of a selected column of shelvings.
