摘要

PURPOSE:A liquid isoprene rubber, after the reaction with maleic anhydride, is treated with a specific alcohol and/or amine to produce said liquid isoprene rubber derivative with outstanding shelf stability. CONSTITUTION:The reaction between a high-cis-content 1,4-polyisoprene liquid polymer with over 75% cis-1,4 structure content and a viscosity average molecular weight of 8000-77000, preferably 15000-65000, and maleic anhydride is effected at about 60-250 deg.C for 10 min-10 hr to add maleic anhydride to isoprene monomer unit in an amount of about 0.03-10 mole%. Then, the resulting product is heated along with an alcohol of formula I (R1 is 1-10C alkyl, aralkyl, organic residue bearing ether or amino linkage in the molecule) and/or an amine of formula II (R2, R3 are H, 1-10C alkyl, aryl, aralkyl) to about 50-200 deg.C to effect the reaction.
