APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING DISSOLVED OXYGEN CONCENTRATION IN CULTURING LIQUID

PURPOSE:To control the dissolved oxygen concentration in a culturing medium easily, by regulating the number of rotation of a stirrer-driving motor or a substrate-pump-driving motor with a variable resistor. CONSTITUTION:The dissolved oxygen concentration in a culturing medium is detected by a detector 3, and the signal is transmitted from the detector 3 to the dissolved oxygen meter 4. Electric potential representing the dissolved oxygen concentration is generated from the meter 4, amplified by a pre-amplifier 15 and transmitted to a comparator 16. The difference between the electric potential from the pre-amplifier 15 and a standard potential generated by a standard potential generator 17 is applied to a meter relay 18, and the reversible motor 12 is driven by the electric current from the meter relay 18 to the direction to reuduce the potential difference by turning the variable resistor 10 and increasing or decreasing the number of rotation of the driving motor 6. The number of rotation of the reversible motor 12 is increased or decreased according to the potential difference calculated by the comparator 16.
