PURPOSE:To effiently obtain an amorphous alloy, by performing electrodeposition of a metal M(Fe, Ni or Co)-metal M'(Mo, W or Cr) type alloy or a metal M-metalloid X(P, B or As) type alloy at a predetermined pulse. CONSTITUTION:A solution containing ions of M(Fe, Ni, Co, Pd, Cu, Zn and Cd) -X(P, B, As, Ge, Si, Te and Se) or M-M'(Mo, W, Cr, Ru, Rh, Pd, Pt or Au) is prepared. A current with pulse amplitude of 0.1-100ms and a duty cycle of 1- 50% is applied to said solution to perform the electrodeposition of a (metal- metal) type or (metal-metalloid) type alloy comprising two or more components represented by M-X or M-M'. By the above mentioned method, an amorphous alloy having excellent characteristics is efficiently obtained.
