EXHAUSTING METHOD FOR COMBUSTION GAS OF VERTICAL TYPE CONTINUOUS ANNEALING FURNACE

PURPOSE:To heat the inside of a furnace uniformly at a desired temperature, by installing exhaust gas openings with a damper on each of a heating zone and a uniform temperature zone formed by a partition wall hanged from the upper wall of a vertical furnace. CONSTITUTION:A steel strip 6 is charged from a charging port 4 for the strip into the heating zone 7 of the vertical furnace and is heated. Subsequently, the strip 6 goes around the partition wall 3 hanged from the upper wall 2 of the furnace and it is annealed in the uniform temperature zone 8 forming a free loop. At that time, burning gas from burning gas furners 9, 10 is exhausted from combustion gas exhausting port A, B, C and D installed in the direction of the both ends of the strip 6. The flow of the burning gas is controlled according to the heat cycle of annealing by dampers installed in the above-mentioned exhausting ports A-D.
