DEHYDRATING AND DRYING METHOD IN PRETREATING STAGE

PURPOSE:To prevent the contamination of an article to be coated and to form a paint film of uniform quality by electrodeposition by spraying pure water on the article which is suspended from a hanger and trasferred and by removing unclean water dropping from the hanger. CONSTITUTION:An article to be coated 3 is washed with water in washing stages C-E, subjected to chemical conversion treatment in a treating stage F, and washed with water in washing stages G, H. The washed article 3 is sent to a dehydrating and drying stage I , where it is washed with pure water from a pure water sprayer 19 until unclean water sticking to a hanger 2 is removed. The article 3 is then dried in a drying furnace 18 and coated by electrodeposition in a coating stage T.
