Deep drawn containers which are suitable for heating up prepd. dishes at oven temps. of 160 degrees C are claimed. These are comprised of a middle layer of polypropylene which pref. contains solid fillers, and two outer layers of thermoplastic terephthalate polyester. An adhesion agent is provided between the centre and outer layers. The container is provided with a lid, the surface of which in contact with the container is made of PVC, polysulphone, polycarbonate or a thermplastic terephthalate polyester. The lid is bound to the container by a sealed seam. Esp. useful as disposable packaging for dishes which can be reheated in the oven at temps. of =200 degrees C. The containers are moderately priced and are dimensionally stable at these temps. A deep drawn container was made from a 400 mu polypropylene foil contg. 10% glass fibre bound on both faces to 50 mu amorphous polyethylene terephthalate foils. A chicken and potato meal was sealed into the container with a 50 mu polycarbonate foil lid. The meal was heated e.g. at 200 degrees C for 30 mins. without distortion of the container.
