Non-glossy adhesive tape is prepared from a support film such as cellophane, polypropylene film, or polyester film by coating the film on the back surface with a surface treating agent(I) in the amount of 2.5 g/m2 solid content, drying the film, thermosetting it to form a resin layer without gloss, and coating a conventional detaching compound onto the surface. (I) is prepared from 65 parts of 50 % isocyanate prepolymer soln. and 35 parts of 50% isocyanate metamorphic polymer soln. dissolved in organic solvent, adding 7 parts of silica having a 1-7 microns particle size and diluting it in 135 parts of organic solvent, e.g., an ester or ketone.
