The compounds may be prepared by reacting a cyanogen halide in an inert organic solvent in the presence of a base with compounds of the formula containing 50% by weight or more in total of compounds in which n is 1 to 3, the number average molecular weight being at least 300 and less than 600. The compounds may be mixed with a reinforcing material and cured.
